Change is here , Apple talk about a post PC experience , but that is like Microsoft talking about a Post DOS experience with the launch of Windows 3.1 , and about as accurate and relevant.
All technology these days has converged , the innards of your iOS , Android tablet , the OS they run , the innards of your Apple laptops desktops and that of your Windows kit ... it is all linked .
There is no Apple monopoly on progress , and beautifully succesful as they are ( the real beauty of Apple products is not in the design but their ability to fly off shelves) , Windows 8 is just so much more scalable and will have presence across 100s of manufactures tablets , netbooks , desktops and laptops. iOS lives on one brand of tablets and phones ...
Change is good ... check out the power of a full OS twin screen Acer Iconia 6120 running in the hallowed Courier orientation , the post Apple PC experience is already here : the full OS tablet , and likely to be of far more use than our iOS and Android devices . Apple may be de rigeur at the moment but surely they can remember the times when share price was hovering around $9 .. what I want to see from Cupertino is a Mac Air touch with a merging of iOS and OSX ..otherwise I will have my iPad 3 to mess around for a bit on , but my Windows 8 tablets ,laptops and desktops will be my machines of choice even if they are Apple laptops or desktops !
Now about installing Windows 8 on my iPad 3 next week ...stranger things have happened ...
