Borderlands 2 is here a whompin` and a stompin` it's way on to our PCs and consoles. This is the first 30 or so minutes of play and the game runs mighty fine on just Intel HD3000 GPUS .. just let the game auto detect your hardware if you are playing on a laptop like me... And you get a very respectable frame rate as you can see . Borderlands essentially a FPS Diablo is a game you will want to invest as much time in as possible.
As you can see from my first play test you can easily do this from your laptop , negating the need to be tied to a console in a living room , hey now here's a game for your Steam Big Picture setup... I played the game on an i7 4gb 7200rpm 320g hdd 64 gb msata Windows 8 OS ssd powered Lenovo X220T which uses an Intel HD3000.
This first play test is in 2D and on lowly hardware as I still cannot get round to setting my gaming desktop up .. 3D gameplay using Tridef and a ST1080 HMD to follow.. but the cell shaded style of this game means it really makes little difference whether you are playing at 5120 by 1600 or 1366 by 768 and as you can see the game is fast enough on most basic of laptop gpus.. so what are you waiting for .. get to it..and see you out there
and now lets up the res (!) to 1024 by 768 :
Purchasing options if you are lazy like me just but directly from Steam , but as all the retail versions also register on Steam it is worth checking out the other options :
collectors can go all out for the Vault hunters edition which has a vaulting price to match
