Fusion Garage Grid 10 tablet: competing through innovation rather than imitation

 thegameveda  is pleasantly surprised to be excited at the imminent arrival of  my very own  free Grid 10 tablet  and simultaneously totally bored with all the Gamescom 2011 games hype . Sony, Nintendo , and Microsoft are all busy pushing , sorry wheel chairing  out their last sequels for this generation of consoles and gamers. Whilst we  who walk  the deep, know they are  really busy working on the next generation  of hardware and gamers. . . . . On the tablet scene everyone is  copying everyone else in between injunctions.


Boring.So  boring , the most enjoyable thing tech wise has been the Tabco / Fusion Garage reveal. And being a joojoo owner and fan since day 1, I find it both hilarious and uplifting to see all those great tech blogs first duped by the Tabco teaser campaign and then finding themselves praising Fusion Garage's innovation  led Grid 10 tablet . Over innovation you could argue kept the joojoo from mass market. This time Chandra and Co. chose to bring the innovation in a more balanced  and tempered way.  And Chandra is the Dude of C.E.O.s  as far as I am concerned not least for gifting Grid 10s  to joojoo owners.


How long before the ios Apple falls from the tree? well there are clearly  developers taking a swing at the Cupertino cherry or Apple Blossom  and as the tech blogs are starting to record braver souls like Fusion Garage  are choosing  innovation rather than imitation


Oh and if all this brings on a chuckle or two, then remember they, and we laughed at or with a hippy bearded Wozniak and Jobs. --- building 'Computers' in their mom's Garage, now nothing came of that .. did it?  When I see Chandra ,  I see the same indefatigable  Geek backbone that made  our heroes Jobs, Gates, et-al  ...oh stop laughing will you ...  


One thing Fusion Garage have picked up from the big boys is the absolute necessity to persevere , and already this years Tabco campaign , the recent faux Apple style keynote , and the frankly amazing offer of free Grid 10s to joojoo owners , is making once sceptical tech blogs take notice . And it does help that the Grid 10 hardware is none to shabby  .. oh and it does Flash  too ...
