Well almost 5 years on from it`s release and us PC owners can at least run the menu for Crysis on today`s latest hardware , I am joking of course , even an Atom Ion powered Joojoo can run Crysis from hardware and without having to resort to the magic of streaming.
And EA and Crytek have a very nice gift for ageing next gen consoles now in their twilight months , Crysis with added sfx will be released through PSN and Xbox Live . If anything the games online component will find a new younger audience , a game of Crysis can be much deeper than your average FPS , and it maybe be heresy to say this but playing with a PS3 controller or a 360 one adds greatly to a game in which your nano abilities are so important , all my Crysis 2 play throughs and Crysis videos were made using a 360 pad , far easier to use than a laptop or mouse keyboard set up , especially when switching powers and messing with augmentations ...
Crysis on the consoles will also introduce a new generation to the sandbox FPS genre that Crytek pioneered , Crysis 2 has an open nature too as you can see from my many repeat playthroughs , although the sandbox is hidden in a more linear game structure , but Crysis is closer to the original Crytek Farcry openworld FPS and you can play the same level over and over always with a different outcome and emulating a different one of your Hollywood ,Bollywood or Jon Woo action heroes each time , there is no other FPS that can make you feel like Chuck Norris , Arnie , Stallone , Bachan or Chow Yun Fat (sans baby in arm) all in the space of one opening level ... I missed out Statham of course because he is IN the game !
