77 million PlayStation Network users at the mercy of Sony's incompetence and or alleged hackers

Sony is to blame for the vulnerability in their system , the arrogance that allowed the vulnerability to go unchecked. And most of all Sony is to blame if your credit card and personal details are now being sold to the lowest bidder.

The writing has been on the PlayStation wall for a long time , a now celebrity list of benign hackers has constantly shown vulnerabilities in the PlayStation OS and network.

Instead of criminally and legally pursuing kids Sony should have been hiring the likes of geohot or whatever his tag was , to highlight the weaknesses in their system.

If you too are one of the 77 million , placed at risk by Sony's arrogance , then join thegameveda in praying this is just a benign hacker out to prove a point ,to muddy Sony's nose .

A week into this and it has gone from a mild annoyance at not being able to play Portal 2 on PSN , to  the single most potentially serious foul up  for consumers in the history of video games or for that matter e-commerce.

This is Sony? thegameveda can hear the heavy purring of white cats being stroked by Steves Jobs and Ballmer ......who do you think will carve up Sony first?
