Killzone is quietly better than any other console FPS , it has been since the first Killzone which has amazing re playability even today . Killzone 2 brought with it a multi player game with aspects that are only now being copied by its rivals. So Killzone 3 is expected to bring single player and multiplayer innovations ,and not just technically outdo all its rivals. Unlike its rivals it is also not a bitter swan song for the developers as Halo and Call Of Duty  were for Bungie and Infinity Ward. The difference between this and newer rivals like Crysis 2 and Duke Nukem Forever  , is that Killzone is always designed to push the Sony hardware of the time to its' limits, whereas rivals will be based on generic code pumped through cross platform filters and out comes your game , the outcome being suboptimal for every platform!

Killzone is like  a fine wine growing better with age , like the greatest FPS games you want to play ,experience it at it's most difficult play settings, and with skill ,and not with floaty grappling slow mo hook gimmicks ala Bullet Storm.
