Pre E3 2012 Iwata san the cutest CEO in the industry reveals Nintendos Art of Gaming secrets

If success in the games industry depends on cute and affable characters, then none could be cuter or more affable than our Iwata san.For Nintendo not only is famous for cute family friendly characters ( apart from a certain foul mouthed squirrel),in the legendary Iwata san they have the cutest of CEOs , who else could have better introduced us to the Wii mote? And I can see Sony and Microsoft cutesifying their head honchos right now to counter this Nintendo pre E3 2012 cutefest volley .

The great Iwata san today in a shocking slip of the tongue ,revealed Nintendo's secret of secret secret to the Art of Gaming  ... allegedly first smuggled over from Ghandara by Tripitaka and co along with the wisdom of the Buddha ...way back when and passed on to the founders of Nintendo ..wow imagine if they got the Buddhist scrolls and the monks got the secret Art of Gaming knowledge instead? If you took any of that seriously daylight turns you to stone and or you should probably be reading IGN or Gamespot right now.

The Nintendo motto as Iwata san revealed translates to something along the lines of Create Something New ... the pursuit of which as we all know had Khan spitting his last breath at Kirk ..for hates sake of course .. feel free to release a customary Khaaaaaaaaaaaan!!! right about now .

The  "something new" is apparently the Wii U , which is most certainly OLD tech i.e. the equivalent of just above this gen of PS3 and Xbox 360 tech. With an additional tablet style controller that looks like a bathroom scale with knobs on.

So thegameveda questions with the most respectful irreverence of course , that if the founders of Nintendo were privy to the Secret secret Art of Gaming : brought over from India ( of course ) by Monkey great sage equal to all of heaven then why ..... why for Buddha's sake have they chosen not to create new technology once again ?

Yes there is a new design , but the next iPhone will be more powerful than the upcoming Wii U . Windows 8 tablets will be everywhere playing and consuming and creating with consummate ease making the Wii U bath scale tablet and console unnecessary. Did I mention the iPad ? Like I need to right?  Already a number of AAA titles have been cancelled . And I fear just like the grey ( dust covered ) Nintendo Wii I have sitting in a corner of my room , there will be a Wii U too sitting under it's own dust mountain from lack of use...

Nintendo miss the point about their own motto , in fact this motto has been followed to the letter by companies like Intel , Nvidia , Sony , Microsoft and of course to greatest effect Apple . But each of these companies tries to leap ahead with the latest technology . Nintendo may have a new concept with the Wii U,but consumers have moved on from the cut down , cutesy console tech that made and then broke Nintendo last year.

The Nintendo 64 was the last console where Nintendo could claim to have technical superiority over the competition,it was no accident that technical prowess gave us some of the greatest games of all time, including Zelda and Goldeneye .

From that point on however Nintendo have chosen NOT to create something new , using technology always a few steps behind the competition , the Wii U may lead this winter , but it will fall come next spring , for the competition is not just from Sony or Microsoft creating something new,now we have Apple , Windows 8 tablets,Google and Android as well as the magic of streaming that makes the Wii U which in reality is already old tech look positively unnecessary if not obsolete...

I just cannot see a future for traditional console makers , already losing revenue , as faster lighter, easier and ever more numerous ways of gaming emerge , the finest of which are already here, and completely platform agnostic.

So Nintendo's motto is "Create Something New" ...  may be they should add an " if only... " I worry greatly for the big N and Iwata San,at the moment it is only a matter of time before they are forced to go the way of Sega...
