It's a great weekend to be a Lucasarts fan , Monkey Island games are going cheap onApple iPhone and Ipad and Steam , Star Wars Clone Wars series 3 just premiered , and you know how locked in your Episode IV,V,VI snobbery in between bbqing bantha steaks and doing your chores before heading off to Toshi station to play with power converters, you sometimes give in to kitsch and wonder what it would be like to be in the Clone Wars. Well wonder no more Star Wars Clone Wars Adventures puts you right in to series ,or in between episodes,or somewhere not too far far away , you feel like you are no longer simply waiting for Friday to down... Sorry watch the next episode , now you and every other Lucasite on the planet will be running around ,flying ,speeder biking and more in THE locations we just spent 2 seasons watching. Have you ever wanted to race through Corruscant on speeder bikes against your friends ,now you can.There are a myriad of games including on rails space and sky battles in your Jedi star fighter with 100s of on screen enemies to score points off This is simply the most fun Star Wars game in two decades , and did I mention ITS FREE? Well enough of it until you you go all Pavlovian and need to pay $6 a month or shell out for a lifetime sub! As it is I am a Jedi already having had my baby formula spiked with midichlorians and having funded Lucasarts over the entire course of my life .....scary Anyway...you know a game is off to a good start when Mace Windu hands you a light sabre after pep talks from Yoda and the rest of the Scooby gang including Scrappy ,sorry , Snips as Anakin calls her. It's also a good sign that the main game hub is full of players , there's too many of them, indeed you may find you have to wait your turn to play some of the games. Unexpected this is: y'all can wait for Bioware and the Old Republic , but in the meantime there's a Jedi moot a happening and on a Star Wars Clone Wars server far far away Mace Windu is holding a light sabre with your name on it , and a very strange name it will be if you let the game choose it for you.
