Assassin's Creed Brotherhood onlive on joojoo !makes up for my iPad 2 disappointment

When Apple have blocked the use of £1388 of your  funds for 5 to 7 days , and whilst anticipating those unauthorised overdraft charges to kick in ( that they claim they are going to refund) , it is heartening to know that one can seek solace in ones Joojoo running Windows 7  , Onlive and the greatest and most sought after game of our time Assassin's Creed Brotherhood . 


Did I mention you can do this instantly ? no install , and with the demo no purchase ? Oh of course your tablet maker has to be grown up enough to allow you to install software on your tablet ..  The cloud is not a distant future concept the cloud is here now , so throw off those App shackles get to a netbook or laptop , even a Mac Air , and start playing... 


And without further ado here is Assassins Creed Brotherhood running maxed out on a joojoo tablet ,  running Windows 7 , a tablet that the Apple para-sites told you could not even run flash , mine just updated to Flash 10.2 , what's the version on my iPad.....oh yes we don't mention the F word in i company....

But enough with the negative waves , it is not as if millions have missed the mess that Apple launches have become .. just not had £1388 allocated to Apple without notice like I did !... this post  is about awesome tech like Onlive which no one a year ago would have thought possible , it is and pretty soon it is going to sweep aside the old guard , doing to itunes what itunes did to the retail cd and dvd industry....


It is also about the reality that a Windows 7 tablet can do anything your desktop can and a year after getting my joojoo I am still amazed by the things I can push it to do , mine iPad is up for sale , and iPad 2 , well that will have to wait there are too many Windows 7 tablets on the horizon , and the way I got messed around with by Apple , who have yet to respond to my last email ( yes you have it Mr Apple Store Supervisor ....hmmmh ....interesting..... ) does not give me much hope about getting hold of one...


This post is also about the awesome  Assassins Creed series , I wish Ubisoft could add touch options you can see me pull off a few manoeuvres with touch , the Animus options and map also work with pinch zooming , with more and more of us turning to touch it is only a matter of time before Microsoft wakes up and includes  updated multitouch code into Direct X , when that happens all your games are going to be like new again...

The expected PC Assassin`s Creed Revelations delay revelation is not as bad as expected

PC Assassin`s Creed fans are used to waiting up to 5 months after the console versions are released, so the announcement by Ubisoft that Revelations is delayed for PC till December , actually means that Assassin`s Creed Revelations will the game in the series that launches closest to the console version release date.

The downside is because we are no longer waiting 5 months , the PC version will not come with all the DLC as standard.

But hey this is definitely a grail half full and not empty occurrence . 

We will be backstabbing Templars before Christmas , for the first time in a PC Assassins Creed release ... Huzzzzzaaaahhh !

And likely instantly if it hit`s onlive

Assassin`s Creed Revelations Animus Edition will become the most collectible game in the World come November  and it`s console release... as were the Codex editions of Brotherhood and the Black Edition of Assassin`s Creed 2  ....  I still haven`t figured out what all that writing on the wall means in Assassin`s Creed  .. but at least now we have time to play through the games again and it is not like we won`t be kept busy in the run up to December .

Why Assassin`s Creed Revelations Animus Edition is a Jedi to the Battlefield 3 , Modern Warfare 3 , Skyrim , Zelda and Star Wars the Old Republic limited edition Padawans

Another year of Autumn game launches , and for another year the most sought after collectors edition across all formats will be an Assassin`s Creed  game ,  Assassin`s Creed Revelation Animus edition in this case. Last year I wrote an article on why Assassins Creed Brotherhood Limited Codex edition would do the same  whilst so called AAA games like Blackops and Halo Reach , and even StarCraft 2 limited editions would not .

Once again this will occur because Assassin`s Creed is the most internationally respected AAA gaming brand , every iteration of this game series has seen it`s special editions rise in value , across all formats . This is something unique in game brands , and although I am talking about the game`s following and sales , let us not forget that year on year Assassin`s Creed has delivered with  deeper longer and more fascinating gameplay. For thegameveda playing Assassin`s Creed reminds me of the good olde days of game development  , real world settings , mystery , beauty  , art , adventure , early Tomb Raider and Thief antics , history , and as a paid up subscriber to the Illuminati  ( my membership is in the post or so they told me not to tell anyone) a feeling of pride that some Montreal game coders finally rumbled our plan for World domination ....

Many other publishers could learn from the way Assassin`s Creed is developed and marketed and released almost platform agnostically . 

It also helps that Ubisoft to date have not attempted to milk the paid for DLC route that presently is the obsession of FPS developers and other console game developers . You know why excellent games like Killzone 3 , Infamous 2 ,Halo , Deus Ex Human Revolution ,Gears of War 3, and even Uncharted 3 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare have and will have high day one sales and then even higher day 2 trade ins ? Well the consumer has had enough of 8 hour single player campaigns , with half of the multiplayer to be released at a later date with you having to download content or unlock content already present on disc , when the developers deem it suitable for you to do so .

Thus there are few competitors to Assassin` s Creed Animus Edition`s position as the most sought after and collectable video game release this year , only Metal Gear Solid Ultimate HD Collection will be more sought after , and that is releasing next February with only 4000 units world wide .

2011`s most collectable gaming crown once again belongs to Assassin`s Creed. But wait did I just feel a tremor in the force......?
