With Star Wars The Old Republic , Bioware have the smoothest launch of a PC game I have ever experienced , and it has not even launched yet! If you want to get in to the game you had better secure your copy soon , as a combination of recent beta tests ,early access to the game 5 days in advance of the official release , and a game engine that you can get away with on Intel GMA hardware , make shine at high detail levels on Intel HD3000 hardware and blow your mind on desktop GPUS , means millions are now experiencing the game in Europe and the USA , I just logged on to find myself 103rd in a queue and all the other servers full .
SWTOR is a success before launch , and if Bioware can maintain this level of smoothness , this is going to be far bigger than Dragon Age , and Mass Effect combined , and most importantly Star Wars The Old Republic is putting PC gaming firmly back on the map .

Thegameveda has been playing for around 3 days , and can say that the full game client runs smoother and faster than the beta , the speed is astonishing on my i7 Intel HD3000 powered Lenovo X220T . on high details settings! It seems all our beta testing was put to good use by Bioware and EA.
For less than you pay Mr Lucas for his Bluray Edition of the saga ( so far) , you can have 6 months of taking on the Sith or Republic , there is nothing like rushing some boss with 20 Jedi or Sith swinging their light sabres and twin light sabres , nothing at least since your school days... a long long time ago in a playground far far away .....
