Several hundred thousand console gamers , many of whom were yet to be born when Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was launched .....are happily beta sorry play testing and stressing Activisions servers all logged in and enjoying the lobby at least of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 ...
But for millions of PC gamers the overriding question is will my hardware , pc , laptop or tablet run Modern Warfare 3 ... Watch the video below which is thegameveda`s first play test of Modern Warfare 3 on the Intel HD3000 powered Lenovo X220T with an i7 CPU and 4GB ram , the game is installed using Steam and running from a 64gb msata Runcore ssd ... oh and the OS is Windows 8 , which means you can be oscar miking in around 20s ( 8s to boot the OS and 12s to boot the game!).
Note this is both a test of how advanced Windows 8 developer preview is with gaming , as well as a test of how MW3 plays using an Intel HD3000 GPU alone...
Und so we see that verily MW3 flies on this ultraportable , I can tell you the multiplayer looks even prettier and runs silky smooth on the Lenovo X220T , so Intel hd3000 based PC/Mac owners rejoice .... oh and if you do have a gaming rig it will fly on that too. The Modern Warfare 3 engine however is not a patch on the realism you see Battelfield 3 with it`s Frostbite 2 engine , not on console and not on PC. But the upside is it is fast enough to work on the PC you have now which means you can take your 12.5 inch ultraportable and answer your Call Of Duty any time anywhere...
